We also photograph at your desired location, add $55.00 or more depending on distance.
TIPS FOR INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY PORTRAITS
- The first thing you need to decide is if you want a formal or casual looking picture. Everyone should be dressed in a similar style.
- Make sure that everyone dresses in coordinating color tones. Dark solid colors are preferrable...they draw attention to the face, the focus of the portrait. Darker colors also tend to be more slimming. Stay away from figured or plaid fabrics. Do not mix dark and light colors!
- If you wear glasses, consider asking your optician to remove the lenses or to lend you a pair of empty frames. This is especially important if you have tinted glasses.
- Darker colored shoes are recommended unless you are using the hi-key white background. Remember to check the color of your socks, they may show in the portrait.
TIPS FOR CHILDREN'S PORTRAITS
- Keep children's clothing simple. Solid colors or very small prints do that best. Any stripes, plaids, large designs, or blocks of color will distract from the child's face.
- For the hi-key white background, white or pastel clothing works best. Denim also works well with white shirts.
- Bring along special toys, furniture, stuffed animals, riding toys, hats...anything to customize your photograph. Remember to keep everything in the same color scheme. Use dark colored shoes for dark backgrounds and light shoes for a white background. Barefooted is also cute for children's informal portraits.
